As you can see from the above, our March meeting was one of the biggest we have seen.
Many excellent photos for the ‘Animal & Bird’ category were presented. Denis remarked that there was not a lot of critiquing to be done, as the standard was so good this month. Nice to hear Denis (especially for all the novices.)
Shaun gave us an update on his historic/latest photos of the area. Shaun has received a grant of $1,250 from the F.N.D.C. Creative Community Fund, which will help pay for paper, printing etc. Hopefully this will be something we can all partake in, and something to look forward to.
Denis had copies of the Yearly Program and Leonie advised us of the correct date for the Waimate Show. The preliminary date was for the 6th November, but is now to be updated to the 13th November 2010.
The evening closed with our usual ‘cuppa’ and a birthday cake and flowers to wish Dot a very happy 70th birthday. All the best for the next year Dot, and thanks for all the ‘phoning’ you do for us.
At our April meeting Claire Giesbers, who has been a Club Member for some years, is going to give us the details of a Photography Course she has been doing. (One of the reasons we have not seen her for some time.) This will be most interesting, as some of us have probably thought of doing such a course at a future date.
The subject for our April Meeting is ‘Landscapes.’ A trophy is presented for the most points in this category at prize giving.
