Hello all Camera Club members

Last Meeting

9th October – Kaikohe

Annie stepped in at the last moment and did her talk on child photography.  It was wonderful. Annie’s talk was on psychology as much as photography.  Interacting with the children, setting the environment, and dealing with parents.  She even brought along toys and rugs, not the usual for a photography talk but this is what Annie’s photography is about.  She brings feelings of warmth and emotion to photography that is present in her work.

We had a good selection of pictures ‘All Creatures Great and Small’ and had a group critique on these.  John has then taken them for a more in depth critique.

Coming meeting – November – Kerikeri

Trip to Wairere Boulders

This went well, very enjoyable with about 9 people, all very enthusiastic and most doing the long walk.  The weather looked slightly suspect at first but it proved to be perfect, giving good light, slightly overcast and occasionally sunny.

Members that did this walk may like to bring along a few of their best pictures in digital form (memory stick or CD) we will view them on the computer at our next meeting.

Interclub Competition – Whangarei

Congratulations go the Dargaville club for winning this year’s competition.
Annie got top picture for her child study photograph. Congratulations to Annie
Bruce Burgess (our judge) did an enlightening job at critiquing each photograph. He later showed us his work through a data show.  It was stunning, the music as well as the pictures.
